The Cleveland Museum of Art
Paul Gauguin: Paris, 1889 | Opening October 4th

Current Exhibitions

As the museum's renovation and expansion proceeds, special exhibitions have moved from the temporary space where they had been presented for the past three years to the brand-new Kelvin and Eleanor Smith Foundation Exhibition Hall.

Meanwhile, the museum celebrates continuing progress on its multi-year renovation and expansion project. The main floor of its historic 1916 building reopened in June of 2008, with European old master paintings and American art up to about 1900. And the brand-new east wing opened to the public on June 27, 2009, featuring European and American art from the 1800s to the present, including Impressionism, Modern and contemporary art, and photography.

Admission to the museum is always free. Some special exhibitions have admission fees.
